Your portrait stays on your device
5iveHead processes your photo in your web browser. Your portrait is not uploaded to our servers, is not stored by us and is not shared with anyone.
What we collect
This website does not use cookies or analytics, and we do not ask you to create an account. If you join a waiting list, we will store the email address you provide for the sole purpose of contacting you about 5iveHead.
Browser extension (5iveHead for the web)
The extension reads the portraits on the pages you visit so that it can process them on your device. Images are not sent to us or to anyone else. The extension stores your settings (the level you choose and whether it is switched on) in your browser's own storage. It does not record, store or send the pages you visit or your browsing history.
The extension asks for access to the websites you visit because it needs to find and replace images on any page. It uses the storage permission to keep your settings, and the offscreen permission to run the face model in a background page. The face model and all code are included in the extension. It does not load code from the internet.
Video calls
When video calls are switched on, the extension processes your camera image on your device, on Google Meet, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Webex and Whereby. Video and audio are not recorded, stored or sent to us. You can switch this off from the extension's toolbar menu at any time.
5iveHead for Websites
If a website you visit uses our script, the portraits on that page are processed in your browser. Your browser downloads the script from 5iveHead and the model and code library described below. No images are sent to us.
Data stored in your browser
Some features keep information in your browser's local storage, for example certificates you have generated and your preferences. It stays on your device and can be cleared from your browser settings.
Third-party services
To detect faces, the website downloads a model file from Google and a code library from jsDelivr when you use the tool. These requests do not include your photo. The browser extension includes these files and does not need to download them.
How we use information
We do not sell personal information, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not transfer it to third parties. We do not use it to decide whether anyone is eligible for credit or lending.
